Submit A Film

We are looking for feline-themed films (preferably short) - documentary, animated and narrative – made by people that have something to say about cats, whether from a philosophical, practical or hilarious point of view.

This Festival is not about “cat videos” which record silly or foolish things cats happen to do randomly.  Films are welcome which have been made with an intention, concept or story to convey something essential about cats – the films can depict something funny or ludicrous but there has to be a reason that the film was made. We hope filmmakers will want to honor cats and raise awareness for their needs and qualities – and have fun doing it. The NY Cat Film Festival™ is a way for those who admire and are fascinated by cats to bring their films in front of like-minded cat aficionados.

FILM SUBMISSIONS CAN BE MADE ON THE FOLLOWING PLATFORMS:

Submission Dates

July 1 2017 - Early Bird Deadline: $10 / students $5

September 1 2017 - Regular Deadline: $15 / students $5

October 1 2017 - Notification Date
