The 1st Annual NY Cat Film Festival™ is a medley of short films – documentary and narrative - that honor the mysterious felines, who have fascinated mankind for centuries and continue to enchant us.

Cats have their own unique and indescribable bond with people – even when living independently as community cats. This festival celebrates that attachment, while giving back to animal welfare groups that protect cats and elevate their status in the world.  In New York City that will be the NYC Feral Cat Initiative, a program of the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals.

The NY CFF premieres in New York City on Saturday December 9th, 2017 with two different 70-minute programs and will be an annual event.

In 2018, the NY CFF will travel to theaters around the country (alongside the NY Dog Film Festival™)  to reach as many “crazy cat people” as possible!
